Services for Children & Families
Learn more about:
- Early Head Start & Head Start Program – Year-round health, learning and supportive services for low-income families who are expecting new babies or have children up to 5 years old
- Parent-Child Clinical Services – Outpatient mental health clinic that offers comprehensive care for early diagnosis, prevention and treatment of emotional, behavioral and developmental problems for children from birth to 12 years old
- The Lourie Center School – Classrooms for children 4 to 12 years old who have disabilities that affect learning
- Therapeutic Nursery Program – Two specialized preschools for young children between 3 and 4 years old with emotional and behavioral problems that may make it hard to succeed elsewhere
Qualified Staff
Early intervention from skilled staff can benefit your child for the rest of their life. Your child is in good hands at The Lourie Center.
Our team has training in early childhood mental health and education. Trust we’re able to handle challenges by deescalating negative behaviors and providing positive feedback. Rest assured staff will communicate with you regularly, answer questions and offer personalized guidance.
Cost of Services
If you have Maryland Medicaid, services are free. If you have private insurance, contact your insurance provider to learn if services are fully or partly covered.
Waitlist
Ask our staff how long it may take for your child to receive services at The Lourie Center. We cannot guarantee a specific timeframe. But you will receive an estimate, and we will let you know as soon as a spot for your child opens up.
