Lourie Center Appoints New Chair of Board of Directors
Rockville, MD – The Lourie Center for Children’s Social & Emotional Wellness (Lourie Center) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcel Wright, MBA, vice president of behavioral health services for Adventist HealthCare Behavioral Health & Wellness Services (BH&WS), to chair of the Lourie Center board of directors.
“Marcel’s passion for early childhood mental health and his knowledge of the behavioral health landscape in Maryland will help the Lourie Center continue to expand its services regionally,” said John Sackett, president of Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center and executive vice president and chief operating officer of Adventist HealthCare.
Since joining Adventist HealthCare in 2002, Wright has held several positions of increasing responsibility, including senior director of operations at BH&WS Rockville, executive director of the Lourie Center and executive director of BH&WS’ Rockville campus.
Wright holds a master's degree in business administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and a bachelor's degree in administration from Washington Adventist University.
